Here's an even better source I stumbled upon recently. ALL of the Statutes at Large volumes:

Have you had any luck or possibly any breakthroughs poldon?
No, I haven't made any progress yet. I had put that project on hold, but will be picking it back up soon. I was able to talk to a bank president on unrelated matters and plan to bring it up with him next. My guess is there will be some resistance (of course), but I think he'll be open to working with me on going through the laws. Only time will tell.

Hey, guys,
Thanks for the feedback! I think, in this case, the guy I mentioned is a lot more credible than you think. Understandably, I probably didn't give enough info about him that would convince anyone he is trustworthy. If I personally see the letter I mentioned, I'll let you know. 😉
For obvious reasons, I won't reveal his name, but I will say that he is one of the main people in our local group of tax honesty advocates (for lack of a better term). Even he tries to stay out of the limelight and help people behind the scenes as much as possible so the judges don't see it coming. 🙂
Anyway, I appreciate the feedback, and I am always researching and learning new things.

Just curious, why the 6th Edition or earlier? I've seen that several places but wondered what has changed that makes it undesirable to use. I would think, in normal circumstances, the later the better just because it would cover more recent cases, but that's just me. 🙂

OK, so here's a little gem I found, but the problem is that it's a little unclear as to what it means (at least to me right now). According to Neb. Rev. Stat. 49-801(16), a Person is defined as follows:
Quote:(16) Person shall include bodies politic and corporate, societies, communities, the public generally, individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint-stock companies, and associations;Of course, the word “individual” is not defined anywhere that I can find, so I'm not sure if that refers to actual humans or not. Also, State and United States are defined as the federal lands and DC, like in the US Code.
Here's the whole section of definitions that are used throughout the statutes:

Well, here's an interesting one…apparently, according to the city code where I live, the Constitution for the united States of America is not a law. Here is the city's definition of Law:
[codebox]Law shall include applicable federal law, the Constitution and statutes of the State of Nebraska,
the ordinances of the City of XXXX, and, when appropriate, any and all rules and regulations which may
promulgated thereunder.[/codebox]
Correct me if I'm wrong, but “federal law” doesn't include the Constitution does it? Maybe I'm just harping on something useless, but I found it intriguing. 🙂

Thank you both so much for the great replies! I heard back from the first bank I talked to, and they say that since they sell their loans on the secondary market, they wouldn't be able to sell one without an SSN. So, I won't be going through them.
I talked to a local bank, and of course, the first thing I get asked everytime I mention someone not having an SSN, they ask,
Quote:“What kind of visa do they have? What document to they have that says they can work in the US? blah blah blah…”I did talk to a loan officer who was willing to find out for me what they can do if I faxed her some info on why someone born in one of the 50 States didn't need a SSN. Is there a good (hopefully short) document I can give them? The only problem I have with the forms on this site and SEDM is that they're all an average of 100 pages or so, and I haven't found a basic plain-English summary out there. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!
In the meantime, I'll post my progress if anyone else is interested.

Yesterday, I literally found myself thinking about what it would take before enough people would band together to storm WDC fully armed to force the dismantling of the IRS and Fed. Maybe now, we won't have to! I can't believe this is happening! Awesome!

Dear Admin,
Thank you so much for clarifying those points. First of all, I would like to apologize for bringing up the business topic at all, especially considering it's a prohibited topic. I see how providing such advice could be a problem.
Also, you are right that the income tax is not illegal, but the enforcement of it is what seems to be the problem. Even though I was tired at the time, I should have proofread that post a little better. 🙂
I should probably state for the record that I am a nontaxpayer, and a nonresident alien.
Finally, thank you so much for putting this site together. I don't know if you realize just how much you have helped people protect or regain their freedom. God Bless!
