It’s not like Googling things is all I do with my time 😛 I’ve had other things I’ve had to deal with, and I keep running into scams and people saying “I’m right, he’s wrong” and then someone else saying “no, they’re wrong, I’m right,” and everybody having different opinions and theories, people going to jail, people saying they’ve been fine not filing for a decade…. I have other things I need to do that also take a time commitment, like earning a living, finding places to live, doing things that make me happy and make my life feel slightly meaningful (which reading the IRS code does not do, that makes me more suicidal than peaceful). There are people saying to sign “without prejudice”, there are people saying to check the box that you’re a nonresident alien, there are people saying just don’t file…. I finally think I understand the issue, after just wanting to hurl my laptop across the room many, many times, and putting this whole issue on the “fuck it all” shelf many, many times…. My solution at one point just became to get citizenship somewhere else and give it up here. But then… other countries probably have the same problem, just in a different language… So even if I got free of the US system…. I’d have to sign up under the next one. And probably understand it even less. lol 😛 But maybe it’d be better….

As for here in the US…. I just don’t know how to refuse to give my social security number or ask for other paperwork when basically what I do is show up for work, they hand me a voucher to fill out and if I cause any issues, they’d probably just send me home, and then I don’t make money for rent. They get pissed off if I bring a photo (on my phone) of my passport rather than the real passport, for the I-9. I don’t think these production assistants would know what to do if I brought or asked for another form. Like I said, I’d probably just get sent away. And my other gig, Google Adsense… I’m not sure what options they give me when I fill out the tax info online, though I would like to go back in and alter my tax information with them as soon as I know exactly what I’m supposed to do. I don’t want to have to give up the only forms of income I have, just because the IRS wants to treat me like a taxpayer and has brainwashed us all into thinking we have to fill these things out….

As for those things you mention… I don’t believe I’ve read them. But I’ve got a seriously defective memory, I can read something or watch a film, and forget what I watched or read within a week. OK maybe not a week. Usually. But I do have a memory issue. 🙁 I will say I probably have not read them.

Anyway I’ll send you a message 🙂 Thank you for replying! I was wondering where people were around here…. I’m always jumping to help people with something I know about, to make their lives better. I’m hoping at some point this will be one of those things I can help others with….

Oz, you should be able to open a bank account without a SS # if you are a non-resident alien who is not engaged in a trade or business (i.e. performance of a public office.)

You will need to complete a modified Form W8BEN and give that to the bank.

When they hand you a bank signature card, it will ask you to affirm under penalty of perjury that you are a “U.S. person” and / or a “U.S. citizen.” Line out and initial those 2 terms and insert “Non – U.S. citizen national under 8 USC 1101 ( a ) ( 21 ).”

Hello! Thank you! I'm pretty new to all of this, and I haven't followed all of the steps in the “read this first!” thing yet, so I don't know what I am or if I could call myself a non-resident alien.

Did you use those steps to open a bank account? How long ago and have you had any problems? Thanks! 🙂

Stick with the forums now that you've been through boot camp 🙂 . You sound dedicated to learning what you need to know. After you've been able to coordinate that knowledge…you'll have a pretty good idea how to proceed. The Path To Freedom syllabus helps you with that knowledge coordination.

    lol. aaagg boot camp!

can't wait to begin reading that…

    Quote:
There are a lot of courageous…genuinely knowledgeable people here who can help. However…as Admin points out…questions and comments have to be in a format that people can respond to without giving you legal advice specific to your case. There is much legal knowledge in the documents on the website…probably the most sound legal writing on many subjects that you'll find anywhere. But no one advises you how to use it.

so… what is the proper way to phrase questions here? what words should one avoid? and where can someone go for legal advice, if that's what i want to find? i have a friend in law school, but I doubt he is the person to talk to after only 2 semesters of it. lol

    Quote:
First…you might want to change what you have immediate control over. And that is how you think and formulate a problem.

You said you don't want to pay income tax.

That's the wrong goal…in my opinion. That's how a tax evader thinks.

Your goal should be to pay all of the taxes for which you are liable…you do it every day when you buy a gallon of gas…or pick up the phone…or smoke a cigar (some women do that you know 🙄 )…

yes… i'm not always the most articulate person. i am thinking along those lines but usually when i end up saying something it's the most basic form of whatever i've been thinking. lol. i'm totally fine paying taxes i actually owe. even though i wish they'd actually go towards something good rather than the interest on our debt. 😛

    Quote:
The process is to audit yourself to find out exactly what you are liable for and why you are liable or not liable.

    exactly!

The documents available to you here are carefully constructed guidelines to help you think correctly and lawfully while you understand exactly what your situation is…and…very important…to help you avoid legal nonsense that gives people problems they didn't start with.

I guess… ok. now, i love learning, and i would love to read everything i can get my hands on (although i admit, a lot of it would put me to sleep), watch videos, etc, etc… but I also want to make use of people who have much more knowledge than me. it doesn't mean i'm going to quit learning. actually, personally, i tend to learn and retain much better when i'm learning from someone, and not just reading a document. i'm a person who hates to waste time. it's the most important thing we have. whenever i can help someone else to not waste time, i do it. whenever i can find a way to not waste time (plan all meetings on the opposite side of town in one day, for example, pay someone else to help me finish some work, another example…) I do it. i'm not trying to make others do my work for me, i just want to get advice from others who have more experience in certain areas than i do. i'm not going to go try to figure out how to build a house because i want a new house – i'm going to go to someone who knows how. i'm not going to learn plumbing because my toilet is backed up. i'm going to call a plumber. i watch these people, and learn from them, and maybe i'll figure out how to do things on my own, but with some important issues like dealing with the government, it just seems logical to seek advice from those who know more than you. can you imagine every time you are trying to figure something out, and you ask someone who seems to know how to say… i don't know… hook up your internet connection, and instead of either showing you or guiding you, they toss a manual at you and say “figure it out!” I just tried to make my own felt, to make a hat. I looked everywhere for a guide and did the best I could. You know what i ended up with? a shrunken, wrinkled, tie-dyed mass of felt. That is not what i want my tax returns to look like. 😛

    Ozma,

    Thanks for your feedback.

    1. It is not dangerous to have the document out there, because there is no harm in asking questions. The minute you begin arging with people is the minute you cross the line.

So the Test for Tax Professionals is something that it's ok for someone like me to send in, or is it meant for someone who has already taken some other steps beforehand?

    Quote:
    2. You are correct that the main function of the tax system is to regulate the supply of fiat currency generated from the debt based Federal Reserve counterfeiting franchise. For proof, see:

    The Money Scam, Form #05.041

    http://sedm.org/Forms/FormIndex.htm

thank you. I'm going to start reading through the Path to Freedom thing, and that page. 🙂

    Quote:
    3. We agree that the tax is a fraud but it can only be eliminated AFTER the Federal Researve counterfeiting franchise is abolished and only in that order without causing economic instability.

hmm. so what is being done, and how can I contribute?

    4. You asked what “benefits” you are receiving. If you have ever filed, are eligible to file or intend at any time to file a claim under any of the following programs, then both the government and the judge, and not us, will claim that you re receiving “benefits” that must be paid for and that you are a “tax protester” if you don't pay up, regardless of what the law says. In case you haven't noticed, our society runs on policy and largely ignores what the law says:

    4.1 Social Security.

    4.2 Medicare.

    4.3 Unemployment insurance.

4.4 Temporary Aid for Needy Families

    4.5 Federal disaster relief.

Darn. I did get unemployment. I dont' care about SS or medicare and i wish i could get out of that. or… i guess i'll try to find a way out of it. I don't intend on using those things…besides, I hear there won't be any money left by the time i retire anyway. lol.

    5. You have no idea how many thousands of hours we spend compliling all this information to make your job easier. It's ten time harder to produce this information than it is to simply read it, and yet you want us not only to produce it, but to do all the work of applying it for you to your specific circumstances. That's unreasonable and places us in the position of giving legal advice, which we can't and won't do. If you phrase your inquiries as described you can and eventually will get your questions answered, but they have to be presented properly or you will get us in trouble by creating the appearance that we are giving legal advice. Ultimately, that could lead to the demise of this website. If you appreciate the information that is here, the least you can do is your part in protecting us by phrasing your questions properly. If you don't want to play by our rules, then don't waste your time here. It's insulting to talk to people who think they are entitled to things and yet who also hypocritically insist that they are “sovereign” or somehow better than others. Only those who are fully responsible for all their own decisions and actions ever hope to be sovereign, and those who are sovereign don't ask for “advice”, but simply information and options necessary to make their own informed decision.

Yeah, I'm sure it take s a lot of time! it's amazing how much there is out there! lots and lots… it still all seems very confusing first. It's like one of those games where you go from clue to clue – except no one tells you where the first clue is.

I guess… I'm trying to find someone who CAN give legal advice, or sit down with me and say 'this is what you need to do'. Like the accountant who did my income taxes last year. She just knew what she was doing, did it, showed me what i needed to do, etc etc. didn't listen to me when i said i had some things that were deductable… but anyway. since i want to start following the real law, i can' t go to her this year. but i want to find somebody i CAN go to, since taxes and law are just confusing and overwhelming to me, and i don't want to do anything wrong. there has to be someone out there who helps people through these things…. right?

We remind you that what appears on this website is FREE, and that you have no right to insist on ANYTHING if you aren't contributing anything. If you don't like the level or quality of help people get here, there is nothing stopping you or anyone else from providing it. The fact that everyone decides to make their problems our problems and yet doesn't reciprocate the help they receive is why they reap what they sow, which is nothing. Stopping the complaining, rolling up your sleeves and helping others is the best way to learn any subject. We don't need to learn as much as you do at this point, so you are the one who ought to be helping to improve the so-called poor quality of this website by helping rather than bitterly complaining.

No, no of course I want to contribute… I mean, if i end up finding a step by step guide, or somewhere down the line being able to compile one or write one, that is what i'd like to contribute. because apparently, it doesn't exist (i am admitting i haven't read the Path to Freedom just yet, going to start on that today, maybe that's what i'm looking for). i know i'm totally new here, but just from my perspective, it seems like there's a lot of info, and a lot of discussion… but everyone is afraid to help everyone else. ok, maybe not everyone, I don't know. I just didn't feel a very warm welcome, and instead of a “welcome! let me show you how to join us in doing the right thing, so that you don't stumble and get yourself in trouble with the IRS.” I would think the more people out there doing things RIGHT, the less others (and the government) can say “look! you're participating in a scam, and we can prove it because we got you arrested and put in jail!” I think we need as many people as possible to be playing by the rules, and to do that, we need to help eachother. it's a confusing, long and twisted road for people like us. we need to do what we can to help and protect eachother, not play the “looking out for number one” game. strength in numbers… does that make sense?

    Quote:
    6. You don't have to read everything. The Path to Freedom document whittles your studies down to the barest essentials to accelerate your learning and progress. If you had read that document before attacking us or getting peevish, you would have seen that. However, you have a lifetime of false teachings to undo that you learned in the public fool system and from friends and parents before you can create ground fertile enough to plant and grow the truth. That takes time and you can't be impatient. A year of UNLEARNING and another year of LEARNING is important. You want to be rash and jump right in, but ultimately that will get you in trouble. Then, if we give you the advice that you seek, you will turn around and blame us instead of taking responsibility for yourself or your own decisions. We want sovereigns here who take full responsibility for themselves.

Yep… so much to undo…. hmm. so… – and i'm being totally serious here, i know this can come off as a rude question – instead of trying to correct things right away as i learn about them, i should continue letting the government control me until i know everything…? i just feel so bullied into paying income taxes that i'm pretty sure i don't owe.

    Quote:
    7. The crucial point you are missing is that what you SAY you are and the way you ACT are two different things. You may think you are a “nontaxpayer”, but chances are good that at one point or another, you submitted a form to the government, an employer, or a financial institution that indicated otherwise. What matters is not what you SAY you are after the litigation or administrative dispute starts, but what the written evidence in the possession of the governent describes you as BEFORE the dispute happened. Both what you say and what the evidence in their possession about you says MUST be consistent in every particular, and until it is, they have a right to make a prima facie presumption that you are a “taxpayer”, and we can't interact with “taxpayers”. When the talk matches the walk and all the available evidence and they all consistently point to the same conclusion, then and only then can one truthfully and convincingly prove in court that they are a “nontaxpayer”. If you did any of the following, then you have already contradicted your claim that you are a “nontaxapyer”:

7.1 Submitted a resident tax form, IRS form 1040.

7.2 Used a government identifying number on a government form.

7.3 Not contradicted other people's use of said number in their correspondence with you.

7.4 Submitted IRS form W-4 to your private employer, which is a “taxpayer” form for public officers of the United States government.

7.5 Opened a financial account with an identifying number.

7.6 Applied for an SSN on SSA form SS-5

7.7 Applied for a TIN on IRS form W-9.

7.8 Registered to vote as a statutory “U.S. citizen” without clarifying what that means.

7.9 Served as a jurist and a statutory “U.S. citizen” without clarifying WHICH of the three “U.S.'s” you mean.

7.10 Applied for any kind of license. All licenses can only lawfully be offered to those domiciled on federal territory and if you applied, the presumption is that you are domiciled on federal territory not protected by the Constitution.

7.11 Identified yourself as a “U.S. citizen” on any government form. The “U.S. citizen” they mean on the government form is a public officer in the government and not a private human being.

Yeah, did some of those things. hmm. isn't there a way to retract things that you've done/signed? i mean, if you did it without knowledge of what they were contracting you into, doesn't that like… make it invalid?

    Quote:
All of above forms of evidence can and will be used to convict you of “taxpayer” status and all of them must be corrected until you can confidently and with integrity claim to be a “nontaxpayer” and defend that assertion with a mountain of evidence in any court of law. Until then, you are presumed to be “guilty until proven innocent” in the corrupted courts that plague this land, which means you are a “taxpayer” until you can prove yourself a “nontaxpayer”.

The minute you begin contributing to this ministry either financially or by setting the example and helping others is the minute you earn the right to criticize the FREE service you receive. Until then, looking a gift horse in the mouth and attacking your benefactors seems rather rude and presumptuous. Liberty isn't something you deserve. Its something you have to EARN. If you think we are hard on newbies, just wait until you have your first friendly visit with an IRS agent or DOJ lawyer. Then you will be glad we were hard on you: It was practice and these forums are FREEDOM BOOT CAMP, in case you haven't noticed! But of course you may be naive enough to not even realize this until that reality is staring you in the face. Then it will be too late. If you are perturbed even at efforts to help you, then you probably shouldn't do any of this, because your ego will make a victim out of you and they will use it against you to play you like a fiddle.

hmm. so much to learn. Again – I'm serious, not being rude – have you read the Test for Tax Professionals? I'm just asking because the arguments in there are slightly different and don't mention SS#'s and licenses and whatnot in their argument that I am not a taxpayer. they don't mention unemployment or anything… just the legal definitions of words, etc… has anyone here sent that in to anyone in the government? what are your thoughts on it?

    thank you 🙂

    Ozma,

    1. You are on the WRONG website if you are protesting income taxes. You can't even use our materials if you are a “taxpayer” or “protesting income taxes” or intend to use our materials as a “tax shelter”. We don't protest “taxes” on this website, but crime and violations of law. The moment one politically, legally, and commercially divorces the state and changes their status in government records to evidence that situation, what is being collected becomes THEFT and not taxes, and it is THEFT that we protest on this website.

Ummm… confused. This whole Test for Federal Tax Professionals refers on every page to famguardian.org. Apparently according to the definitions I am NOT a “taxpayer”. But I've been paying them for… 9 years. What I've been reading says that the only ones taxable are in the federal areas, and employees of the United States. Isn't that correct?

    Quote:
    2. If reducing your tax bill is your only motivation, you are on the wrong website and you shouldn't be using our materials. You cannot have a commercial motive for using our materials. Your only motives must be spiritual, religious, moral, and legal. We seek to defend the right of all not to associate with or contract with or do business with or subsidize any government or “state” other than God's government. Enforcing our right to NOT contract and NOT associate protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution is the only way to describe your motivations and if you describe them any other way, and especially using the word “protest taxes”, then you are not welcome on this website and certainly not welcome to use our materials.

I don't believe I should be paying income taxes. All the laws say apparently that it's voluntary and that most people don't even owe it. so…. ??? what am I doing wrong by trying to do things the way the law really says I should?

I have to say – and though maybe i'm reading into this – I feel like you're being quite rude to the new girl….

    Quote:
    3. The place to start learning about how disassociate and withdraw consent to all contracts and franchises and how to change your status to reflect the factis to read and follow the following in the sequence provided. Links to this document appear in the header to most pages on this website under “START HERE!”, at the top of our “Taxation Page” (http://famguardian.org/Subjects/Taxes/taxes.htm), and on the opening page of this website (http://famguardian.org). There should be no reason you could have missed this document:

    Path to Freedom, Form #09.015

    http://sedm.org/Forms/FormIndex.htm

Alright, I'll start there, thank you very much. And apparently I did somehow manage to miss it. You know how much STUFF and how many links are on this website? It's overwhelming.

    Quote:
    4. Until you have read the above document and completed steps 1 through 14 and gotten educated, you shouldn't even THINK about doing anything because you are acting like a “taxpayer” and you would contradict yourself to claim otherwise or file otherwise based on your actions. That document will make the walk and the talk consistently reflect your decision to abandon all contracts and franchises, to disassociate commercially, politically, and legally from a corrupted “state”, and to withdraw your “consent to be governed”, leaving the government no basis to claim the authority to govern you. You will need to abandon all government “benefits”, franchises, and licenses and completely disconnect from the system. If you want to continue participating in government “benefits” and not withdraw participation in them, but at the same time stop paying the taxes that pay for them, then you are a thief and we don't want you here because we will have no part of those who seek to STEAL from the government. Everyone should pay for ALL the government services they use, but at the same time, we seek to defend the right of all not to receive those services or be a customer of government protection called a “citizen”, “resident”, or “inhabitant”.

So I'm still really confused. what government benefits do I get from them? and when am I ever paying for them? the money we give them as income tax goes to pay off the interest to the Federal Reserve. I'm not trying to steal from them. I work hard for my money, I give to the church, I sponsor children, I pay my rent and my bills and just want to get by. I donate to good causes, I follow the laws (not with an intent to follow them, I'm just a good person and don't really break them often, because I have no need to), I've never been arrested or anything, and yet they want to take more money than I have, and keep me struggling. I have nothing in the bank and they're going to tell me that I owe them money – for what? they don't tell me what it's for, what it goes towards, and I KNOW it goes towards the interest at the Federal Reserve. now, I'm new to this, I used to think the government was there for our own good. but I don't trust the government one bit now, and I'm tired of their game

    Quote:
    5. Your question is phrased in such a way that you are asking for legal advice, and we can't give it on these forums. This is covered in our About Us page, Section 12 under “Prohibited Activies”. Follow the above FREE document and you will know exactly how to commercially, legally, and politically disassociate so that you can be free again. You can't choose to do only a portion of that disconnection. It is an all or nothing thing. You do it all or you do NONE of it. You should rephrase your questions to be consistent with the following in order to avoid being accused of seeking legal advice. We didn't write it but we agree with it:

    FAQs, Question 1.16

    http://sedm.org/FAQs/FAQs.htm

It's kind of dangerous then for this document to be out there, and people telling you to download it and send it in , but not saying anything about the other zillion things you have to do, if that's true. I'm almost to the end of the document and it's not saying anything about what I should have done beforehand – just that as I am, right now, having filed no crazy paperwork – I am not a 'taxpayer.' did I miss something? What exactly should I call myself? What do you call yourselves, and what is the difference?

    Quote:
    6. In the future, you should be MUCH more careful about your choice of words. You betray yourself as a neophyte whose mouth is going to get him in LOTS of trouble if he doesn't get educated BEFORE shooting it off. There is nothing wrong with being a neophyte, because we all start there, but neophytes should be doing a LOT more reading and listening than talking, and now you know what you need to read and listen to.

First. I'm a she. Second, I'm offended. I asked a simple question. All I've been doing for hours on end is reading, for the past month or two. My eyes hurt. You have no idea what I've read, how much time I've put into it, or anything, so please don't accuse me. I'm sure there are millions of documents out there, and you know what, odds are I'm not going to be able to read them all, but I'm doing the best I can. I'm not about to wait another year while i keep reading, hoping to read them all, before I ask questions in a forum. :-/

    Quote:
    7. We hope you will come back to these forums only AFTER you have followed the Path to Freedom and completed Steps 1 through 14. Before then, you are a danger to yourself and will surely discredit the freedom community and this ministry by asking such simplistic questions that betray ill and unwelcome commercial motives. Don't rush yourself. If you don't have time to do your homework and sharpen your sword of intellectual tools before you step onto the battle field, then you ought to go back to your government cage on the federal slave plantation and quit complaining.

Like I said, I've been spending more time than you're assuming I have, reading up on things, watching videos, etc… I am so very insulted at the way you have chosen to handle people coming here for help and advice. It's really put a bitter taste in my mouth. I thought this was a good website, with good people, who wanted to fight the good fight, do what's right, help others along – not just another nasty place for bitter people to hang out and jump on people who want to do the right thing but unfortunately used the “wrong” words. I don't think you're going to spread the message very far if you're not willing to help people. This place isn't very welcoming, and that's very sad. I'm sorry for whatever unhappiness is in your life, that you feel the need to speak to your fellow humans in this way. I can't imagine Jesus saying these things….

Unfortunately, I don't have time or money enough for law school, and I'm never going to speak like a lawyer. Which is why I would like to find myself a good one who really knows the law. I'm assuming you guys are not going to be friendly enough here to recommend any. Thanks.
