There is no mention of Commercial Speech, thus, there is no such thing as Commercial Speech! Of course there are penalties if one's speech is fraudulent, one can be sued for slander, libel, and any number of other offences, where an individual(s) suffers harm.

However, it is not the Government?s job to stifle speech, and this is exactly what we are seeing with Mr. Schiff's persecution. News papers around the country sell their product, often for profit, thus, it would appear to come under the current dogma of Commercial Speech. Yet, isn't this the “freedom of the press” that the framers of the CONSTITUTION were intent upon protecting?…

I agree with you about the use of the word democracy and I winced each time she said it. But it didn't ruin her credibility for me. I just substituted “America” each time to prevent myself from dismissing her message out of hand. I got the impression that she had a good working grasp of the problem and is sincerely trying to be part of the solution.

Most Americans, I believe, think we are a democracy (ruled by polls and special interest groups) so her message should come through loud and clear to them (they won't have any cognitive dissonance about America being a Republic). Given what she said at the beginning of the video about how she was educated to this issue (the ten steps to tyranny), I think she would be amenable to understanding that this is a Republic and not a democracy. In most of the list the IRS refers to taxpayers as the ones making the f rivolous arguments.

It does seem f rivolous for “taxpayers” (those liable for some tax under the code) to argue against various points in the tax code. 

Taxpayers, as defined, also have to lose the argument because in all those “silver bullet” arguments they take the burden of proof on themselves.  Now that's f rivolous!  It's one thing to say “You have no jurisdiction” and another thing to say “I'll pay up as soon as you verify your jurisdiction”.  The first statement is an argument to be proven by the unhappy taxpayer.  The second statement agrees and argues about nothing; only requiring information.  And the burden of proof stays where it belongs. 

Same thing applies to the IRS.  If they prosecute for willful failure to file they have to prove their argument on three points.  They don't prove their f rivolous arguments any more frequently than disgruntled taxpayers (who are liable for a tax) prove theirs.  (Which is not to say the IRS doesn't get convictions, they do but not because they prove their argument).

The IRS has no legal leg to stand on, but what criminal says “Gosh, I can't do that…it's illegal”

The courts seem to use a regular formula to attempt to get a prejudice jury, encourage and amplify that prejudice, and pray that the jury convicts. Oh yeah, further, the judge misleads the jury, suggesting that the jury cannot review the tyrannical rules (laws) the government spews. This is often accomplished by getting the unwitting jurors to take an oath to limit their just and necessary powers in court.

Look, for decades, I have been telling folks that the federal, state, and local governments have created a society that makes it very easy to steal one's ID, by compelling use and disclosure of a SS # in all kinds of transactions, especially real estate transactions, that invariably end up as public records.

And for me, it all started way back in the 1970s, when I noticed that the IRS put social security numbers on the mailing labels when they sent out their tax forms to homes.

Lambert the speeder, has only herself to blame because I suspect she gave the police officer the SS# that was temporarily assigned to her.

Also, I am not sure she can raise constitutional issues, when she runs around saying she has rights and seeks a remedy under 42 USC 1983.  Title 42 of the US Code is special law, it is not positive law.

if she is a statutory U.S. citizen, she can get a remedy under 42 USC 1983, but then, I believe, she is precluded from raising the assertion she has a Constitutional protection of privacy.

In a separate issue, in many instances, the FG website invokes 42 USC and in particular, 42 USC 1983 and for a long time, I think such an invocation is a mistake, in part, for the reasons stated above.

FG and us free folks, can not say we are not subject to the legislative or statutory jurisdiction of the US Congress, and then turn around and, simultaneously seek protection and solace in a special law such as 42 USC, which is geared to protect the rights of statutory U.S. citizens.

If there had to be an asset sale, guys like Donald Trump and other bottom feeders would step in and buy assets at a lower price. And then flip them and make a profit and invest that money somewhere else.? It all balances out in the end.

The Federal Reserve is protecting the wealth of the guilty folks who made poor business decisions. What is capitalistic about that? NOTHING!!!

Let Bear Stearns fail. It would be a lesson to others how not to conduct business.
