How did you do that? They didn't give you trouble at the front desk before you sent it off?

What did you put in the space where they asked for it?

Did you send it with any proof you didn't need to provide the ss#?

How did you sign it at the end where you are swearing you are a US citizen?

Where did you send it? I want to send mine to the same place. 🙄

The above pamphlet says that Social SEcurity Numbers are govenrment property.  The only people who can have or use such “public property” as SS numbers are public employees or federal contractors on official business.  It is illegal to use public property for a private purpose, and constitutes embezzlement and larceny.  Unless he is acting as a public official or federal contractor on official business when he applies for the passport, he is committing a crime to provide a number.  See the above.
