I am sorry for being so vague. Both my husband and myself removed ourselves from the “system” 9 years ago. Recently we were contacted by our “friends” at the IRS. We were informed that we needed to send them a 1040 SE form for a particular year. We are SE and contracted w/ a company that sent them (IRS) a 1099 regarding the amount we were paid. Thus the letter from the IRS. What we are looking for is a rebuttal letter to reply back to them. I have recently began reading the Great IRS Hoax. I am sure the info is in the book? They have only given us 45 days to reply and 1 week has already passed since we received the letter. Any “suggestions” would be greatly appreciated.
