    However, the ultimate objective is not “correction” of information reports, it’s ensuring they’re never issued to begin with.

    Not sure why you’re accusing me of being an “IRS plant”. Are you one?

    The proper role of a notary public is simply to witness your identity, that you are who you say you are.  Their role is NOT to examine and evaluate your paperwork.  If they do, they are in violation of their commission and you could possibly gets their terminated.  Running this possibility by the offending notary may get them to sit up straight.

    Otherwise, you could have a friend become a notary who is consistently “friendly” to your document needs.  Then you’ll not be fighting with ignorant strangers.
