Thanks for this post. 🙄 This lady sounds like someone it would be delightful to be around.
The skinny-is-beautiful-myth is an American propaganda machine that came in after WWII when the mental health professions began to create themselves by creating problems for people that the professionals could talk with you about for a fee.
Dr. Spock was the first to create insecurity in parents by convincing them that he, and not they, knew best how to deal with a crying baby.
Constructs (which are different from concepts)– like self-image began to be touted. And everyone's “self-image” became something that professionals need to help you with, by having you repeat (for a fee, don't forget) “I am beautiful, I am worthy, I am good” among other things…Ya da ya da ya da.”
Look at how self-images are sold in the media. Just a casual look at women's magazines as you wait in the supermarket check out line, tells you that women are presumed to be basically insecure people, who need all kinds of makeup for the face, the eyes, the lips (botox), wrinkles, hairdos, liposuction, to create a self image that is acceptable, not to themselves, but to some hypothetical fashion photographer. They must believe that fat in food is poison, even though many vitamins are only soluble in fat. They must buy kilos of beauty products and live in mortal fear of food in order to have this “self” image, which really amounts to making themselves, their image, acceptable to unspecified others.
Then there are the men's magazines that seem to be obsessed with nothing but creating six-pack abs. Six packs don't create “six-pack abs” do they? But, if you possess these abs (usually guaranteed in 10 days with no work on your part) you will have phenomenally good sex with a fully made up woman with a fabulous hairdo, artificial breasts that look like implanted Big Macs, and luscious botox lips (that look like she's just been punched in the mouth).
I like the whale lady — smart with a great sense of humor 😆 .
From the sovereignty point of view, the same propaganda principles have taught Americans that it is unpatriotic not to do whatever the federal government tells them to do; That it is the essence of patriotism to refer to the federal plantation as “my country”; That people who refer to the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights are subversives, who are dangerous to America; That everyone must pay their “fair share” of federal income tax; etc., etc., etc.
It all happens through propaganda (or in the case of the IRS, outright lying). Now, because of drug company propaganda, many people think cholesterol is a poison, when in reality it is an essential substance (produced by the body itself) necessary for brain functioning (it seems that people were a lot smarter before they started “watching” their cholesterol).
Cigarettes were sold world wide by telling people that they improved digestion so that even those with good digestion could benefit.
Lead was put into gasoline, not because it was necessary, but because it was “good” to do it.
People tend strongly to avoid what they believe is harmful (e.g., cholesterol), and gravitate toward what they believe is good (e.g., better health).
People who feel powerless cling to nobama because of his slogan “yes we can”. They interpret that to mean he can make them more powerful, when he means he can make them less powerful…as he is trying to do on a daily basis. The old song that said: “Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose…” could have been written for the nobama campaign.
And let us not forget that saintly liar Abraham Lincoln, the first president to invade his own country. He is called the Great Emancipator when, in fact, the Emancipation Proclamation freed not one slave. Not one. And add to that Lincoln said publicly several times in debates with Douglas that he did not believe in equality for negroes. Add to that, the fact that his plan was to repatriate all slaves in Africa because they were unfit to live with white men.
Yet by nothing more than the skillful use of language, the skillful choice and arrangement of words, Lincoln is a saint. School children then and now were and are taught that Lincoln was a man of such moral sensibility (even though he was a rich and successful trial lawyer, not a poor boy from Kentucky and Illinois) that he had to suspend the Constitution in order to save it and he had to free the slaves at the cost of 600,000 lives. Even though he could not and did not free even one slave…and, by his own words, never intended to do so.
Propaganda is very powerful, very.
But, propaganda is nothing more than a technique of communicating to groups of people by appealing to something they value and providing the means to achieve it.
Webster writes:
Quote:propaganda; the spreading of ideas, information or rumor, for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause or a person.Communicating through the techniques of propaganda is a two edged sword that can facilitate good among people or evil under the guise of apparent goodness.
But, the point is, that it is an extraordinarily powerful way of communicating to and teaching others.
However, to be effective, propaganda has to appeal to some deeply held value, e.g….
People will like, and even desire me, if I buy this makeup, cream, exercise machine.
Women will want me if I have six-pack abs (so will many men 🙁 ).
I'll be healthier if I take a lot of synthetic drugs and cut out healthy foods.
The essential characteristic of propaganda is that it strongly invites people to attach their highest emotion-based values to the message of the propaganda.
And therein lies a challenge for FG and SEDM…both forces for good in people's lives.
How do FG and SEDM use propaganda for good so that their benefits spread far and wide like a powerful virus (like the propaganda of socialism has done worldwide? The identical techniques sold cigarettes, leaded gasoline, dangerous statin drugs, Lincoln's saintliness, and socialism to the world).
The specific problem is that it is virtually impossible to sell “liberty” and “freedom” to de facto slaves who believe that they are in fact free, are in fact at liberty, because they live in “the greatest, free-est, richest country in the world.” When in fact they live in one of the most despised, regulated, poorest debt-ridden countries in the world.
How does one design propaganda that nullifies the power of the prevailing propaganda and ignites the desire for true freedom that burned in the minds and hearts of the founders.?
Values are based in the emotions 😆 🙁 😛 😮 😀 😎 🙂 , and cool, sound, well-documented logic doesn't appeal to the emotions (or even the minds) of a dumbed-down population.
So cool, sound, well-documented logic is the product to be sold (or given away). How to package it with stirring words so that it appeals deeply to the emotions and causes people to organize into great marching groups is the question.
Martin Luther King said “I have a dream”…barry soetoro said “Yes we can” and both ignited the people even though their rhetoric was not nearly as good as Patrick Henry's “Give me liberty, or give me death” or Thomas Paine's appeal to “Common Sense”.
We need a think tank to come up with propaganda techniques to use in order to ignite the desire for truth, enlightenment, freedom and justice for all, in a powerful way that would even make IRS agents of treasury department of Puerto Rico sign up…the same way those very same agents did with the visionary King and that lying mouthpiece of the devil, soetoro.
We need a good slogan <_< .

Quote:What wording in our federal Constitution is intended to grant power to Congress to appropriate money from our federal treasuryThe problem is they're not taking it out of the treasury. There hasn't been anything in the treasury for a long long time. But, they do have the ability to borrow money (though they're borrowing for purposes that are not permitted by the Constitution) found in Article I Sec. 8 “To borrow money on the credit of the United States.”
This was the huge mistake the Founders made when they put this loophole into the Constitution. The whole idea of living by borrowing, and shifting the debt onto future generations, started right then and there.
There are several things that need to be changed in the Constitution (e.g. the appointment of senators by state legislatures instead of election by the people). But, that borrowing loophole should be the first to go. Let congress tax the states directly by apportionment for its cash flow needs, and then let the state appointed senators respond as their respective legislatures instruct them.
This would undo the treasonous Lincoln's destruction of states' rights and sovereignty.

Well now that RobinHood has been welcomed and initiated…back to Riverway and the militia,
Viera's article is excellent and helpful. He's right about patriots being armed mainly as individuals for personal self-defense, and not being organized to protect the freedom of the state (as in union state).
And he breaks the problem down into a manageable chunk of 100 men per county who are committed, trained, organized. It's one thing to describe a problem and another to give a clue as how to solve it. Viera makes a do-able suggestion.
One thing he suggests is linking up with others through NRA training programs. This would help in making contacts with those who may be of a like mind.
Robin Hood appears to be a jack-of-all-trades entrepreneur, probably someone who should be searching the IRS website for filing requirements

As you say so well, there is nothing to celebrate but much to think about.
The tea party idea woke some people up (even though they rolled over and went back to sleep) but what would it be like if there were a day of mourning on July 4.
All flags would fly at half-mast and upside down, even the little hand held flags made in china.
Everyone would wear black armbands.
Radio stations would play dirge music all day long
Firecrackers that were designed to fizzle would be set off after dark.
Everyone who marched to a celebration site could carry a placard with a picture of the white house on one side and a picture of the congress on the other side, each overwritten by the international NO symbol (a red circle with a diagonal slash through it).
People could wave the placards about while the 'officials' were blathering on in their speeches about this great country of ours.
(Say, this is starting to cheer me up.)
I would definitely need some handholding and spoon feeding on this. But thanks anyway for thinking of me.

Yeah, Admin would be my clone for the Supreme Court, but there may be some uphill infighting given that the highly persuasive Bing has already taken his stand when he posted…
“I LOVE MICHELLE BACHMAN!!!”
We'll just have to wait for the debate between admin and bachman.
Maybe sotomayor could be the moderator!?
Control of the means of production in all industries is one of Marx's planks. Control of banking is another plank.
Everything is on schedule in the USA, with the federal government becoming the major shareholder of mega corporations including the banks.
And I don't believe anything will change until the congress and the American people call the executive's policies what they are…the creation of a complete socialist (communist) state.
There is only one reason, only one, that justifies the existence of a central socialist government. And that is to take the output of productive people and, as nobama said, “spread the wealth around” among those who produce nothing (not unlike himself). And his wife put it in more cozily domestic terms: “some people are going to have a smaller piece of pie, so others can have more.” Presumably the baker will get the small piece and those who didn't bake the pie but who want a bigger piece will get it because they are the ones who support government gangsters who steal the pie from the baker for them).
Presumably, now there will be a congressional committee formed on how to build automobiles with a 30,000 page manual. The solution will be that the government will create jobs for the unskilled unemployable who will now have a choice of either working for TSA or trying to put an engine together from a manual they can't read. And another committee on how to cut a pie into exactly six and one half pieces (the half piece is for the baker). And another on how to print money (though there is already a committee of nearly 600 congresscritters for that).
Socialists love displaying with great fanfare what they think of as their problem-solving intelligence. But with reference to them, intelligence is a word of art with a completely different meaning than its common one.
Everything is on schedule in the USA.
(BTW Michelle Bachman is really something. If they can clone sheep why don't we have them clone Bachman and Paul and just create the congress. It would be far better than what the People are electing. And I know who I'd clone for the supreme court. 😉 Then there'd be some judicial butt-kicking, just like there was at high noon in the Temple courtyard when the moneychangers got busted 😆 .)
I just googled the rahm tax thing.
Quote:No-bama's chief of staff Rahm Emanual and his wife have a real nice crib in a ritzy upper mid class Chicago area. While their neighbors pay from $3000 to 7,000+ in real estate taxes, Rahm's crib is NOT on the real estate tax rolls of Cook County, Illinois
An admirer of rahm, not rahm himself, writes a response at
http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/does…erty_taxes.html
Quote:The president's chief of staff does pay taxes on his home. Failed attempts to find his records are the fault of shoddy research. Not only does White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel pay his property taxes, but he pays them in advance. Property taxes for the first half of 2008 were due on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Emanuel paid his on February 23. Last year, he paid $13,022.60 in taxes on his home.
The e-mail above is taken from a post made by the conservative blog Illinois Review on Nov. 6, 2008 (the site has now removed the post, but it lives on in chain e-mail form). It says that there is no record of Emanuel ever paying property taxes on his home in Chicago and cites a number of sneaky ways that Emanuel could have gotten out of paying the taxes. But the very premise of the post is wrong: Illinois Review bloggers needed to do a little more reporting before jumping to conclusions. The reason they didn't find tax records is that Emanuel's mailing address is different from his official property location in the Cook County tax records.
“His house sits on two lots,” said Eric Herman at the Cook County Assessor's Office. It's not at all unusual, Herman told us, for combined lots to use one address for mail even though a different address is associated with the property's permanent index number used in tax records. Cook County assesses homes using PINs for exactly this reason; addresses can change when lots are broken up or combined. “The bottom line,” says Herman, “is that it's the same property. Two lots, one PIN number.” In fact, tax records for Emanuel's house show both addresses – one for the property location, and one for the mailing address. Anyone can access the tax information with the PIN (14-18-408-035-0000), and we've posted a pdf of the record here so you can see for yourself.
Herman said that the Illinois Review bloggers had searched the Cook County records by address, not by PIN, using the mailing address from Emanuel's financial disclosure form. He notes that they didn't call the assessor's office or make any attempt to verify the information. In fact, Herman told us he posted comments on the blog alerting IR to the error, but his comments were deleted. IR took the entire post down a day later, citing “government intimidation.” The site also posted a follow-up reasserting that Emanuel's mailing address had no associated tax records, but acknowledging that “Emanuel's foundation has no impact on his property taxes.”
The follow-up closes by saying, “Where there is smoke, there is usually fire.” No word on whether this applies when the smoke is a mirage.

There are a few issues here…
— Rahm does not issue the denial himself (maybe he doesn't want to get caught in a scandalous lie and have to step down).
— Government records, especially during and after the nobama birth certificate issue, can be kept from public view, [and probably better be if the bureaucrat who reveals them knows what price they may have to pay if they embarrass a public official].
— Government officials will lie about records as the Health Officer of the Hawaiian Health Department did when she claimed that nobama's birth records were on file…but refused to release them.
— Government officials will lie about related matters such as the judge in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania did when he told Philip Berg Esq. that he had no standing (a mere judicial fiction that standing business) to inquire about birth records of someone seeking the presidency.
— Under the equal protection doctrine it is only justice, and under equity it is only fair, to continue to spread the avoidance of property taxes story by rahm/rule whether it is true or not. Rahm is a master of deceit and disinformation at the expense of the People. The People may reserve their right to disinformation at the expense of Rahm. An eye for an eye…a lie for a lie.
Hey Bing,
You wrote…
Quote:franklin, when you refer to UK sovereigns, I trust you mean UK subjects. The Magna Carta aside, in the UK, the Crown is the only sovereign and each of the People are merely “subjects”.
Here is abit of irony. In the UK, the subjects often act as if they are the Sovereign; and in America, most of the Sovereigns often act as if they are subjects.
A Sovereign, in the true sense of that word is the Author of Law and is not subject to any man-made law. At least in theory.
I don't think you can set the Magna Carta aside inasmuch as it has informed the understanding of every “sovereign” since John Lackland [k/a king John, intellectually challenged son of Henry II and Eleanor of Acquitane [some woman that Eleanor], brother of that gay blade Richard [the lionhearted].
In the 16th century…Mary Queen of Scots…established a state religious policy of protestantism because she knew she could not force catholicism on the people.
In the 16th century…Elizabeth I…an “absolute” monarch…refused to consent to some policy of her ministers with the simple remark “If I did that my people would turn me out of the realm in my petticoat.”
In the 17th century, the People beheaded Charles I for usurping their prerogatives. One of the things he did was enter the chamber of the lower house without the consent of the assembly. To this day, as a direct result, the monarch may not enter the lower chamber, and, at the opening of parliament, sends an official to knock on the door of the lower chamber and invite the People to hear her speech in the House of Lords (which the monarch does not need permission to enter).
England became a dictatorship under Cromwell. But eventually the people called Charles II back from Holland and the people restored the monarchy [apparently because they love parades and pageantry].
In the 18th century several things happened around sovereignty.
Queen Anne announced her belief that kings did not rule by divine right. She was the last english monarch to use the veto power.
The divine right king Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were removed from their disney world at Versailles and eventually stripped of their titles, renamed citizen Capet and the widow Capet, and then summarily executed by the People.
Marie Antoinette was the daughter of the divine right empress Maria Theresa of Austria who continually admonished her daughter to cut back on her lavish life-style and curry popularity with the People to avoid their displeasure.
The English Parliament refused to recognize the rightful Stuart heir to the throne after Anne died [ironically, Lady Di was a descendant of these rightful heirs] and offered the crown to a minor German prince whose descendant became george 3 and still speaking german.
Then the American people, using the royal WE, declared their sovereignty in the Declaration of Independence, which begins “We the People…” and thereby took their sovereign place among the other sovereigns of the world. [It's ironic that American sovereignty is an expression of the divine rights of kings, as all rights of Americans come from God, not from men 🙄 ].
In the 19th century…queen victoria had to flee the capital and seek refuge in her house on the Isle of Wight when a reminding breakout of republicanism threatened her “sovereignty”.
In the early 20th century, george 5 and queen mary, both german speaking, changed the family name from Saxe-coburg-goethe to Windsor, to avoid the wrath of the english People against the Germans as events leading to WWI gathered momentum. It prompted the kaiser (the king's blood relative) to quip “I can't wait for my next visit to england to see that famous play “The Merry Wives of Saxe-Coburg-Goethe” 😆 .
In the late 20th century, after Windsor castle (the family seat of the saxe-coburg-goethe's) burned. The people were irate that the government was going to repair the place when the monarch (probably the world's wealthiest individual) had been too cheap to purchase insurance. As a result two things happened. First, the People insisted that she pay income tax, and now she does. Second, shortly thereafter, the queen made a speech at a formal luncheon where she announced that she understood that people in privileged positions hold those positions because the people assign them (that was her point, not her exact words) just as the People had earlier assigned the english crown to a german prince.
So we come back to the point that the english People are really the sovereigns. The queen makes no laws, but must consent to them, and live under them and pay taxes, she has no veto power. [Ironically, it is the US federal government who is the actual taxpayer under 26USC and must make a return to the treasury.] If she disagrees with the people her only option is to abdicate…or be turned out of the realm in one of her hats designed by Dr. Seuss (instead of her petticoat).
So genuine sovereignty does not exist in any country without the people and their consent…not even in england (though pageanty celebrating sovereignty does). With respect to england, the queen is not a genuine sovereign, she must live by the law merchant and the laws of the People, but she is definitely a figure of idolatry…in violation of the First Commandment (or so I tell my english priest friend!)

Thanks for this update.
It's impressive that the judge denied the motion to strike and told the DOJ to do its homework.
Citing the law accurately to make a point about an issue that is before the court (not some off point issue in the alleged defendant's head) appears to be the best strategy to avoid the “f” word.
Good for Springer. He wasn't so wedded to his own “silver bullet” that he could not learn from FG.

Hi Dennis,
It's an interesting question you raise. I haven't researched it so I have no evidence for the following conclusion.
However, by inference it seems that the Framers were especially keen on differentiating between the states that declared their independence (individually) from king george and confined the federal government's territory to 10 square miles plus whatever possessions and territory it had within the states for forts, magazines, etc.
They gave congress the power to create courts under Art I and IV to administer their own lands and other property.
Even today, the federal government must have exclusive jurisdiction (accepted in writing to the governor of the state) over lands it possesses within the states in order to apply its laws to crimes committed on its territory.
You may have read Erie RR v. Tompkins,a famous case about an accident. It deals with the federal land issue (and the fact that there is no federal common law). Virginia took back the land it originally contributed to the District of Columbia. Now the federal government only has jurisdiction over small parcels within that former federal area.
I'm sure there are other cases which distinguish between the states' land and the federal government land both within a state and without a state.
The Federal Rules (54c) until 2000AD made it clear that Acts of Congress only applied in the District of Columbia. The supreme court has given three definitions to the term United States. etc.
These are just some off the cuff remarks. However, and I may be wrong, it seems clear to me that the Framers were not using a word of art “United States” to include both federal and state land as subsequent court cases and statutes (e.g. the penalty of perjury oath from within or from without the United States [i.e. the District of Columbia] have made clear.
Keep asking questions, it makes people like me review what I think I know 😕 .
