TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — It had been weeks since anyone had heard from Sherry P. Jackson, the former IRS agent who studied federal income tax history and law, and transformed into an outspoken anti-income tax activist. But under the federal government’s relatively new “tax-defier” program, she was essentially convicted and imprisoned for her beliefs, her supporters believe.

Sherry’s last known contact with family from prison had been Dec.17, 2009. The 47-year-old mother of two said that she had experienced strange health problems in prison before contact was lost; therefore her husband of 22 years, Colin, was especially concerned for Sherry when he hadn’t heard from her.

But Colin was happy to inform this reporter that he finally heard from Sherry on the evening of Jan. 6. During the holidays the well-known words “silent night” took on a whole new meaning for Colin.

“The cruelty of this type of activity to Sherry and her family, especially at Christmastime, [was] beyond comprehension and despicable,” a friend recently wrote in a letter to AMERICAN FREE PRESS during the holiday “freeze” on Sherry’s phone calls.

Meanwhile, Sherry was moved from the Coleman, Fla. prison to another federal pen near Tallahassee, the capital of Florida.

Colin understands that federal officials moved her because she “may” have contacted the press, which could violate a gag order in terms of media. But observers close to her maintain she did not contact the press.

Sherry Jackson, whose inmate number is 59085-019, is now at the Federal Correction Institution (FCI) in Tallahassee. Her projected release is Aug. 8, 2011.

We must do what we can to see that she makes it through this government inspired nightmare in one piece.

President Obama said the nation will do everything possible to protect the country from terrorists.

[…]

Washington (CNN) — When President Obama spoke out on the terrorism scare in Detroit, Michigan, he entered a debate that had already begun over his administration's new approach to combating terrorism.

“As a nation we will do everything in our power to protect our country,” Obama said while vacationing in Hawaii. “We will continue to use every element of our national power to disrupt, to dismantle and defeat the violent extremists who threaten us, whether they are from Afghanistan or Pakistan, Yemen or Somalia, or anywhere where they are plotting attacks against the U.S. homeland.”

Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab is being held for allegedly trying to blow up a flight carrying 300 passengers on Christmas Day. Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula claimed responsibility Monday for the attack, saying it was in retaliation for U.S. strikes on Yemeni soil.

On Sunday, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano initially gave something of a thumbs up to the government's handling of the Detroit terror scare.

One thing I want to point out is that the system worked. Everybody played an important role here. The passengers and crew of the flight took appropriate action,” Napolitano said on CNN's State of the Union.

Within minutes, Republicans went on the attack.

“Earlier today Secretary Napolitano said the system worked. in fact the system did not work,” Rep. Peter King, R-New York, said on CBS' “Face the Nation.”

When pressed, Napolitano later dialed back her remarks.

“That's a phrase taken out of context,” she said. “Our system did not work in this incident. No one is happy with that.”

Now, members of Congress are asking questions, such as how the suspected terrorist could fly in the first place after his own father had warned authorities his son was possibly under the influence of religious extremists.Rep. Peter Hoekstra, R-Michigan, the top Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee, said the White House isn't sharing information. He posted a message on Twitter accusing the administration of “stonewalling.”

“The threat to the United States is real. I think this administration has downplayed it,” Hoekstra said. “They need to recognize it, identify it.”

He said that is “the only way we are going to defeat it.”

Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent who has sometimes frustrated the White House, brushed off the notion that the president has gone soft on terror.

“I don't think it's fair to lay this on President Obama or the Obama administration,” said Lieberman, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee. “A lot of these practices are ones that have been going on for quite a while.” [In fact this was likely part of a drill.]

The White House, meanwhile, said those security procedures — some dating back to the Bush administration — are now under review. [They should get rid of procedures that allow terrorist aboard planes as part of false flag operations to subdue the public.]

“I think the best New Year's resolution that we can make in the new year is to make the security of the American people a nonpartisan issue not a political football that we punt back and forth,” said White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Hearings on the Detroit terror scare are planned for early next month. Republicans have hinted that there should have been a big red flag next to the suspect's name.

“You would have thought this would go right to the top of the list,” Hoekstra said Tuesday on CBS' “Early Show.”

Obama said the federal system for tracking potential terrorism suspects will be reviewed because the latest incident showed it had possible failings.

Apparently the suspect in the Christmas incident was in this system, but not on a watch list, such as the so-called no-fly list,” Obama said. “So I have ordered a thorough review, not only of how information related to the subject was handled, but of the overall watch-list system and how it can be strengthened.” COLOR=”blue”]Why would he be on the No Fly list, when they took him off the list for the hot drill? Isn't it strange that 1.3 million innocent people got on the list?[/COLOR

Listen to the interview.

Detroit attorney Kurt Haskell appeared on the Alex Jones Show today and detailed his experience at the Amsterdam airport and on flight 253. Mr. Haskell provided information not covered by the corporate media.

Kurt Haskell.

In addition to a detailed retelling of the story he gave the corporate media, Mr. Haskell addressed the unprofessional and lackadaisical behavior of the FBI and airport security after the plane landed at the Detroit Metro airport in Romulus, Michigan. He characterized their behavior as a “complete embarrassment. They actually put us in more jeopardy than we were already in.”

Passengers were told to remain seated in the aircraft for 20 minutes after landing despite the fact security did not know at that point if there was an explosive on the plane or if the fire started by the suspect Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab while on descent to the airport had spread under the floor in the cabin or to the fuel tanks in the wings.

After being allowed to disembark from the plane by officials, passengers were detained in customs with their carry-on luggage for six hours while they waited to be interrogated by the FBI, according to Haskell.

At this point a bomb-sniffing dog pointed at carry-on luggage in the possession of a man Haskell described as Indian around 30 years old. Officials led the man away to an interrogation room. Haskell said he was concerned because the bomb-sniffing dog had flagged the man, indicating he may have had explosives in his carry-on luggage. The Indian man was subsequently led away in handcuffs.

Following this incident the FBI moved the passengers to another location. “You’re being moved,” the FBI told them, “it is not safe here. I’m sure you all saw what happened and can read between the lines and why you’re being moved.”

Haskell said the corporate media refuses to cover this aspect of his story. He has repeated it to “countless” news agencies and they uniformly have not included it to his knowledge.

Mr. Haskell questioned why officials have not released the Amsterdam airport security video that will undoubtedly reveal crucial information about the “sharp-dressed man” who escorted a disheveled Mutallab to the boarding area. Haskell described the suspected terrorist as appearing to be a “poor black teenager.”

The well-dressed Indian man did all the talking. He insisted Mutallab be boarded on the plane without a passport and when an airport employee refused to do so Mutallab and the Indian man went to talk with a supervisor. The Indian man tried to pass off Mutallab as a Sudanese refugee and have him boarded despite the fact doing so would be in violation of regulations concerning refugees. In general, documentation must be provided by an embassy in order for refugees to board international flights.

Mr. Haskell did not see Mutallab again until the botched terror bombing inside the plane on the approach to Detroit. He did not know how Mutallab finally boarded the aircraft.

The FBI was not pleased with Kurt Haskell when they conducted a follow-up interview earlier today in Michigan. They showed him close-up photographs of various people, including Mutallab. “They kind of tried to trick me,” Haskell explained. The agents tried to pass off two photos of Mutallab as different people. Kurt asked the agents if they were attempting to impeach his story and smear him.

The Indian man was not included in the photographs.

Haskell asked them why he was not shown a full body shot of the suspect. Haskell was eight rows back from the suspect. The FBI agents did not answer and were displeased with the question. He also asked the FBI agents if it would be more appropriate to bring the surveillance video from the Amsterdam airport instead of still photos. “I don’t think they liked that comment from me,” Haskell added. The FBI said they did not have the videotape. They also made a point to tell Haskell they were asking the questions and not him.

The agents showed Haskell a photograph of the man flagged by the bomb-sniffing dog and taken into custody in customs. “Isn’t this the man who had the bomb in his carry-on bag that you arrested in customs who you refuse to admit exists?” Haskell asked the agents. “They really didn’t like that comment from me and had no comment back to me but I said it sure looks like the man you refuse to admit exists.”

Kurt Haskell was circumspect and careful not to speculate during the interview with Alex Jones. He indicated he is only interested in the facts and does not want to endanger his version of events by speculating on motives.

This event will be used to continue those aspects of the Patriot Act that were set to expire on Thursday December 31, 2009

Question: Why didn't the guy just stay in the bathroom and detonate his device without being seen or stopped?

Question: The department of homeland security knew about the guy and his travels for a long time… why did he get an unlimited visa especially after his own father warned the feds about him?

Question: What kind of DF passenger would grab a guy who was on fire and search him for explosives?

Question: Why were the guys underpants given to the press if they are the crucial piece of material evidence against the guy?

Answers: They guy was a CIA operative, the event staged so that a situation could be created to further oppress the People. As rahm emmanual has said “never pass up an opportunity to take advantage of a crisis.”

And, if there is no crisis in the offing, then create one.

The NW bomb threat was another government hoax, created with the same cookie cutter they always use.

Business as usual.

All these dupes at the Copenhagen summit, they want global government. I don't like big federal government. These people are crazy. This is what they want their environmental Climate Gate fraud for, in order to bring this private corporate government dictatorship, into the public domain. See Al Gore “global governance through global agreements”, and EU President, Van Rompuy (BBC). Obama threaten the Congress, that if they don’t sign on this UN treaty fraud, he may take over by “command and control” (treason)!

As we see with the ObamaNoCare bill (Bailouts for insurance companies), big business is working to make this stuff happen. Just look at signing statements and Executive Orders. These are high crime and treason. We should be calling for impeachment. He is moving in the direction of handing the nation over to unelected foreign powers, just look at how Obama is at the head of the UN, in violation of the Constitution.

They want us dead, we need to bring these criminal to justice. These are the same Banksters that have destroyed the economy. They want a permanent tax for ongoing bailouts. They want a global one-child policy. No more tax credits for children; in fact, you will be taxed for any children that you have. Admin – Here is my contribution as a warrior, and wish to contribute more.

Franklin,

I agree with you in principal, but I do not agree that the pre-selling should be done on SEDM's website. If you compare SEDM's website to the Declaration of Independence, there is/was no pre-selling within the Declaration itself. This document provided the cold, hard facts that one cannot argue with. However, there was a separate communication that preceded the original Declaration before folks put pen to pad.

From Wikipedia on the Declaration of Independence:

Quote:
“In January 1776, just as it became clear in the colonies that the king was not inclined to act as a conciliator, Thomas Paine's pamphlet Common Sense was published. Paine, who had only recently arrived in the colonies from England, argued in favor of colonial independence, advocating republicanism as an alternative to monarchy and hereditary rule. Common Sense introduced no new ideas, and probably had little direct effect on Congress's thinking about independence; its importance was in stimulating public debate on a topic that few had previously dared to openly discuss. Public support for separation from Great Britain steadily increased after the publication of Paine's enormously popular pamphlet.”

This strategy worked before, and you will understand why when you read the text yourself! http://publicliterature.org/books/common_sense/xaa.php

We can come up with Common Sense 2.0. This is the pre-selling. The more people we touch with it, the more people they will touch with it.

Then what? Sign the Declaration of Independence yourself. Next – become educated.

Here's the nuts and bolts of how it could work.

1. Common Sense 2.0 is what Thomas Paine would be writing and do if he were alive today. We can publish it under his name in tribute to maintain anonymity – even though he never wanted credit. Thomas Paine says in the introduction:

Quote:
“Who the Author of this Production is, is wholly unnecessary to the Public, as the Object for Attention is the DOCTRINE ITSELF, not the MAN. Yet it may not be unnecessary to say, That he is unconnected with any Party, and under no sort of Influence public or private, but the influence of reason and principle.”

2. Of course like other FAM and SEDM documents, we will not sell this publication. Thomas Paine said: “As my wish was to serve an oppressed people, and assist in a just and good cause, I conceived that the honor of it would be promoted by my declining to make even the usual profits of an author.”

3. Send the publication out to targeted groups. For instance, one could attach Form 13.004 (Declaration for the Establishment of a Free Church) to the publication and send to every Christian church in the country. Or, you could attach the Great IRS Tax Hoax to it, and send to every Libertarian Party office. What else?

4. Create a stand-alone patriotic website to direct people to within Common Sense 2.0. Here is a website that we could use as a template: http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/…he_signers.html

Signing the Declaration means that you affirm support for the Constitution of the united States of America on a personal level, that you owe permanent allegiance to the united States, and by some(?) mechanism, becomes public record. Who wouldn't want to have their John Hancock on this? After you sign it, SEDM or FAM's website pops up, and Voilà, another sheep leaves the pen.

As a side note, also from Wikipedia – history does repeat itself (unfortunately):

Quote:
“After the Townshend Acts, some essayists even began to question whether Parliament had any legitimate jurisdiction in the colonies at all. Anticipating the arrangement of the British Commonwealth,[11] by 1774 American writers such as Samuel Adams, James Wilson, and Thomas Jefferson were arguing that Parliament was the legislature of Great Britain only, and that the colonies, which had their own legislatures, were connected to the rest of the empire only through their allegiance to the Crown.”

Which today, one could say:

“After the Executive Branch began to presume jurisdiction over The People, some essayists even began to question whether the Federal Government had any legitimate jurisdiction in the Republics at all. Anticipating the arrangement of the Federal Government, by 2009 American writers such as SEDM and FAM were arguing that Executive Branch administrations were the legislature of the District of Columbia only, and the Republics, which had their own legislatures, were connected to the rest of the empire only through their allegiance to the crown.”

Or, here's another idea. What if we instead re-wrote the following publication and removed all the propaganda and mis-information?

http://www.uscis.gov/files/nativedocuments…enship_2004.pdf

These are just ideas – which I know, are a dime a dozen.

By the way…. to quote someone named Harry on a Libertarian blog, “Not all libertarians are Christians, and not all Christians are libertarians, but most would be if instruction in natural law were more common place.”

I certainly agree with your general outlook, Brian.

I am not so sure it is a fraud.

However, I distrust the main stream media on almost every subject.

I spoke to someone recently, a research scientist, who had just returned from Greenland with a bunch of equipment in tow, and he told me that the volume of ice that is melting in Greenland is “staggering” and “tragic”, to use two of his terms.

Also, I know that glaciers are melting up near the North Pole and doing so at an alarming rate. Huge chunks of Arctic shelf ice are falling into the Arctic ocean almost every month.

Well, Cap and Trade is a fraud. Mercury, Mars and other planets in the solar system are experiencing similar changes. Are these changes due to man's activity? Has anyone ever heard of the sun?

Thirty thousand scientists disagree with the Al Gore racket; he is stealing billions of dollars on this swindle. This is a phony Green Religion, Gore is welcome to this nonsense. However, the rest of us should not be forced into the hands of these green-eyed idiots. Gore clearly worships GREEN!

More great case law for the IRS to use to bolster its fraud.

There is no case law established at the trial level.

Dear friends,

As you all know, Lindsey Springer was convicted this week of tax evasion. We warned all of you that this was going to happen and explained many of the reasons in this thread.

One of the conditions of his release was that he shut down the http://penaltyprotester.org website. Obviously, the government feels threatened by this powerful information, which is why they used his conviction as a bargaining chip to censor it. Well, before it was shut down, we downloaded EVERYTHING on the website to keep it available in the public domain.

You can find all the files on his website before it was shut down at:

http://famguardian.org/Disks/TaxDVD/Resear…ger,%20Lindsey/

An important role of this website is to be a repository for those who have been silenced unjustly so that the torch can be carried forward by all of you. Of course, we don't back up EVERYTHING we find, but rather only those things that we think have merit, such as Lindsey's efforts. There is far more disinformation out there than there is good information, so we have to be very selective about what we archive and what we don't. Like the patient farmer, we have to separate the wheat from the chaff so all of you stay on the right track and out of trouble.

Just in case you all haven't figured this out yet:

1. If you find a juicy morsal of credible and useful evidence on a government website, chances are it will disappear quickly after people expose it on this website or in these forums.

2. If you find useful evidence on a freedom website on the internet somewhere, chances are the government at some point will try to enjoin the provider for “tax shelters” and order the website shut down, thus causing loss of access to the information.

Consequently, we highly recommend that you download and archive everything you find AS SOON AS YOU FIRST SEE IT, wait and watch for it to be censored, enjoined, or prosecuted, and then repost it in these forums when it disappears.

Enjoy!

Thanks you have done a wonderful deed. Springer has a great deal of valuable information.

This verdict is really disappointing. Naturally, I am sure these gentleman will appeal.

This jury, like all juries, is vetted on their “dumb down” profile. They have no idea they have the power to make law via nullification. That it is their job to protect the rights of the accused, instead of making the prosecution and judge happy. They haven't spent anytime here, and likely never heard such concepts as are discussed here. Sadly, they likely feel that a football or baseball game is more pressing than their brother and sister's life, liberty, or property. Not because they are of ill intent, rather, they are doing as they are told; look at how the judge encouraged them to essentially keep working until they reached a guilty verdict.

Quote:
“Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people, who have…a right, an indisputable, unalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge, I mean the characters and conduct of their rulers.”- John Adams

Hence, the judge subtly put pressure on the reluctant jurors. Unless those doubtful jurors learn to stand their ground for their brothers and sisters, though they be strangers, this is what is possible for anyone of us. But for the grace of God go I.

Quote:
“These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed, if so celestial an article as Freedom should not be highly rated.”- Thomas Paine; 1776
