This forum is concerned with the legal foundations for licensed marriage, the pros and cons of licensing, and the negative affect that marriage licenses have on the sovereignty of the couple. Below are some resources on this website that deal with this topic:
- [*]Great IRS Hoax, sections 4.14.6 through 4.14.6.8-describes why licensed marriages are a scandal and a shame to Christians[*]Family Law, Dating, Marriage, and Divorce-covers the subject of family law thoroughly[*]Sovereign Christian Marriage-describes how to get married without a marriage license.[*]Sovereignty and Freedom page-Family Guardian[*]Defense of Marriage-Family Guardian[*]Marriage Contract without Marriage License-example marriage contract that replaces marriage license.[*]Marriage Contract with Marriage License-example mariage contract that replaces marriage license.
"Two things I request of You (Deprive me not before I die): Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me; Lest I be full and deny You, And say, “Who is the Lord?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God."
[Prov. 30:7-9, Bible, NKJV]August 3, 2006 at 11:14 pm #9605The last woman that I dated, who was a loyal Southern Baptist, whenever we discussed marriage, she made it a point to tell me that if we were ever to get married, she would insist that we get a marriage license.
Anyway, off and on for a period of many months, we occassionally would talk about the marriage license issue, and she never budged off her position, and I held firm to mine, that I would never marry anyone if she insisted that we must get a marriage license. Rut-roh!
We literally got nowhere with all the talking.
So, this leads me to my next point, and that is:
SWM, handsome, great sense of humor, non-taxpayer and non-resident alien. Seeks SWF, SBF, or a latina who is also a non-taxpayer and a non-residnet alien, for long walks on the beach, blah, blah, blah. . . .
