As a result, if you find after logging in that clicking on menus above with an asterisk (Basic Member Content, such as in the Participate Menu item) produces a Restricted Access Notification, or that you can’t access Members Only portions of the Forum content, then you will need to go to the Membership Signup page and complete the join process as a Basic Member AGAIN while logged in to restore access to these menu items and Forums. The area to the right shows if you are logged in. If your username appears there instead of login fields, then you are logged in. Also, the Participate->Login menu will be MISSING if you are logged in. We are manually adding Basic Member access for most members, but the process is slow, tedious, and still incomplete. SITE SOFTWARE MIGRATION ON 11/30/2016: The Family Guardian Forums has been migrated from Invision Powerboard to WordPress software starting on 11/30/2016. We did this to save lots of money and to simplify the improvement, administration, and user interface of the website. Existing users now login through the “Participate->Login” menu option or the “Login” area on the right sidebar. New users register under the “Participate->Membership Signup” menu option. All accounts of previously registered users have been preserved but passwords were lost and users will now need to request their passwords be sent to them so they can login and change them to whatever they want. To request your password be sent to you, login through “Participate->Login” and then click “Click here to reset”. Also, because the WordPress forum import software only supported up to Invision Version 3.4 at the time of conversion and we were running Invision version 4.1 at the time of conversion, we had to revert to an older copy of the database dated 8/20/2015. This means that all users who signed up after this date will have to re-signup AND that all of their posts between 8/20/2015 and 11/30/2016 have been lost. On 12/3/2016, we completed manually importing most of the (our) posts added after 8/20/2015 from the 4.1 version of the Invision database but were not able to import the added user accounts or the posts of other users. If your login or password recovery doesn’t work because you signed up after 8/20/2015, then just reapply for a new account. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this might cause our valued readers, but we have NO CONTROL over the versions of Invision Powerboard that the WordPress 4.6.1 forum import function supports.
