I am loyal to the Old America, but I am not loyal to the New America.  In fact, I grieve at this new emerging America. The New America knows less than ever before, the difference between right from wrong!  The New America does not know the natural from the unnatural!  The New America is more concerned about it's own present happiness than the pursuit of happiness!  The New America is not God's America.  The New America has replaced God's voice with that of the Devil's voice!

Note: I am not giving up and letting things go down easily - don't get me wrong!  The Old America still has some roots here and there & I plan to water those Old American Flowers before I ever water these 'weeds' of the New America.  Part of my frustration is that when I was young, I did not appreciate the freedoms and opportunities that were available to me, then.  In fact, I was quite rebellious to this country in my older teen years - shame on me and shame on us.  If only I could have those years back!

More and more each Independence Day, I grieve when I consider the fireworks.  I see people who most of them have no idea as to what is taking place right under their noses within this country.  They are so blinded by the works of the Devil, people today don't even see what is happening within their own home and family.

When I consider the old songs of America - I no longer get caught up in the words of freedom and liberty or in the marvelous melodies and stirring rhythms of John Philip Sousa. - I grieve because I know that music represents Old America today.  That old music does represent a great past - a powerful past - a wonderful past!  The music of the New America is not the music of Old America.  The words of the New America are not the words of the Old America.  The people of the New America are not the people of the Old America.

We are witnessing the birth of a New America - the Old America is nearly dead and gone - it just has not been buried yet - but it soon will be.  The older generations will be soon all dead and buried - the King James Bible will soon be buried with its newly given status of 'illegal hate literature' - the children will soon be grown up to close those bible-believing churches who spoiled the fun of their childhood.  It wouldn't surprise me to see children turning their parents in to the law for their personal home attempts at 'brain-washing' the children into a Bible that they don't like or even want around their house.

• The median family income has more than doubled in the last 50 years.
• The overall per capita income has grown nearly 77% in the last 30 years.
• The unemployment rate has dropped from 61% to just over 4% in the last 25 years.
• The number of children living below the poverty level is the lowest it has been in 20 years.

• A person who smokes a pack or more of cigarettes each day lives 7 years less than someone who never smoked.  Tobacco use is responsible for over 430,000 deaths every year.  That is one in very five deaths
• At least 10 million Americans used smokeless tobacco within the past year despite the fact that use of smokeless tobacco is one of the leading causes of oral cancer.
• Alcohol is involved in one half of all murders, accidental deaths and suicides.
• More than two million American suffer from alcohol related liver disease.  Cirrhosis is the 7th leading cause of death among young and middle age adults.
• An estimated 15 millions Americans are current users of illicit drugs and 861,000 were arrested for drug abuse in 1998 alone.
• About one percent of female adolescents have anorexia.  That means that about one out of every one hundred young girls between ten and twenty are starving themselves, sometimes to death.  About 4% of college aged women have bulimia.
• One in four children 'huff' or know someone who does.  Inhalants such as glue, nail polish remover, paint thinner, spray paint, lighter fluid, household cleaners, deodorant are one of the first psychoactive drugs kids try.
• An estimated 1,900 people attempt suicide every day - 84 are successful.  Suicide is the 8th leading cause of death.  More people die from suicide than homicide.

• Over half of Americans have little, if any, trust in the government.
• Only 20% express a great deal of confidence in the White House.
• Only 12% express confidence in Congress.
• Only 14% express confidence in the press.
• Only 30% trust the large business corporations.
• Druggists and pharmacists rank above clergy with regard to honesty and ethical standards.

• 74% are dissatisfied with people's honesty and behavior.
• 66% think society's standards are getting worse.
• 67% believe society it too tolerant of harmful behavior.
• 50% think that in the last 10 years, commitment to marriage has weakened.
• 37% think in the last 10 years, we respect each other less and less.
• 22% think that as a nation, we are weaker in terms of belief in God and religion.

• 81.6 % believe that moral decay is the main cause of America's problems.
• More than 50% of women will have an abortion sometime in their lifetime.
• 17.5 million Internet surfers visited adult pornography sites from their homes in January 2000 - of which more than 7 million of these identified themselves as Christians.
• Offensive language on TV has increased more than 5 1/2 times and references to homosexuality have increased more than 24 times in the last 10 years.
• The incidents of sexual content, coarse language and violence on TV nearly tripled in the last 10 years.
• The marriage rate has dropped 43% and divorce rate has more than doubled in the last 30 years.
• The number of people who attend church a few times a year is no only 15%

But I also know that Christians can have no confidence for that Old America and for a 'better future for our children' unless we and they first seek God's face - a personal contact with His Voice - so that we can 'teach transgressors thy ways and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Psalm 51:13.  Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. Jeremaih 6:16

We need to present our bodies "a living sacrifice holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service."  We should be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Romans 12:1,2.

Note what happened and what will happen again to God's own people when they rejected God's words, as America is doing at this present time.

Note that that we, as children of God / sons of God, He will not forsake us.  We receive a greater blessing than His own people because of our faith in Jesus Christ John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.and Rev 19:7-9   Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8: And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9: And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Whether or not we are pushed nearer and nearer to the tribulation and receive more persecution within our own country, or whether we are taken out of here in the rapture, we know that we will soon be seeing and entering the Kingdom of God more and more as a Christian, either through the spiritual blessings of our earthly sufferings or in our physical heavenly rapture out of here directly into the Kingdom of God!

You must get your fire sparked and lit from your personal Bible reading (Ps:119:130: The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.) BEFORE any preacher is going to be able to give you more wood to build up that fire that only God can give.

Well, the day is coming!  But right now, it isn't here yet!  We can still joyfully celebrate the birthday of our country - but someday, when this country officially dies - we will glorify God more than ever before - either face to face after the rapture, or through earthly sufferings!
