CHURCH & GOVERNMENT

Part 1

Which Government?

The God of the Bible commands, through the Apostle Paul, that His people must obey and be in submission to "the governing authorities" (Romans 13:1). These civil authorities are the ones that are described as being "established by God" (13:1) and "a minister of God . . . who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil" (13:4). The prevalent teaching in churches today is that American Christians should obey the "established" local, State and federal (United States) governments.

The question that must be asked, however, is "which one?" To many, this would seem to be a puzzling question. The fact is, we have a choice. There are two government systems that exist in America today. For our purposes here we will focus on the United States (federal) government.

One of these governments is the duly "established" de jure government, and the other is the "alter ego" or de facto government. One is "established" by God based upon Biblical, natural and common law. The other is a usurper of everything that is right and just. One exists for the good of the people. The other exists for the private business benefit of a few "elite" at the ruinous expense of the people. One has the name and legitimate function of "United States" government. The other exists in that name only, but has no relationship to the original "established" civil authority. At this point in time, we have the choice of which United States government to obey. Do you know which one you are obeying and teaching your people to obey?

This and subsequent articles will prove that the United States government that is currently in power is an extremely dangerous impostor intent on cruelly enslaving the people

Legal Definitions

De jure: Descriptive of a condition in which there has been total compliance with all requirements of law. Of right; legitimate . . . – Black's Law Dictionary, 6th Edition, p. 425

De facto: . . . an officer, king, or government . . . who is in actual possession of the office or supreme power, but by usurpation, or without lawful title. – Black's Law Dictionary, 6th Edition, p. 416

A Tale Of Two Governments . . .

This mystery of the tale of two government begins with the subject of money. To understand this relationship we must lay a foundation. Why should money be significant to the question, "which government?" Money has been called the "essential engine" of government. Obviously, money is needed to allow government to function. What most people do not realize, however, is that the nature and character of "money" influences the nature and character of government and thus, how and why government functions.

An honest and just money system is essential for a free and independent government which functions for the benefit of the people it serves. A fraudulent money system will manifest a highly controlled and manipulated government functioning only for the benefit of the "elite" few who control the money system. This kind of government will be used to gradually oppress and enslave the people.

"All the perplexities, confusions and distresses in America
arise not from defects in the Constitution or confederation,
not from a want of honor or virtue so much as from
downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation."

– John Adam, 1787

What Is Money?

God's Law:

To further understand the contrasting nature and character of the two kinds of government, we must have knowledge of what "money" is. As with everything that is de jure, money can only be correctly defined by principles of law. We turn first to God's law as recorded in the Bible.

"You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight, or capacity. You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin: I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt." – Leviticus 19:35-36

"You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a large and a small. You shall have a full and just weight; you shall have a full and just measure, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you. For everyone who acts unjustly is an abomination to the LORD your God." – Deuteronomy 25:13-16

"Money" to be money must be characterized by a standard of just weights and measures. Anything else may be passed off as "money" but it is not honest money. God is simply commanding His people, as individuals and a nation, to deal in honest money because this is a critical aspect of His justice and righteousness. It must necessarily follow that all who deal in honest money, including a nation's civil government, are substantially in "total compliance with all requirements of law" and thus de jure.

"Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Thy throne." – Psalm 89:14

Common Law:

Biblical law was the fountainhead from which sprang our "established" system of English and American common law:

"[Common law was] . . . grounded upon the general customs of the realm, and includes in it the law of nature, the law of God, and the principles and maxims of the law; it is founded upon reason; and is said to be the perfection of reason acquired by long study, observation and experience, and refined by learned men in all ages." – William Blackstone, Commentaries on the Laws of England, p. 53

"The law of God and the law of the land are all one; and both preserve and favor the common and public good of the land." – Keilway's Reports 191

Common law was the law of the land in our country, and in regard to money it stated:

"Money is the just medium and measure of all exchangeable things, for by the medium of money a convenient and just estimation of all things is made." – Bouvier's Institutes of American Law, n. 922; Barton's Maxims 222

Constitutional Law:

From common law came our constitutional law and republican form of government. The principle party to the Constitution for the United States of America, "We the People," created and granted authority to the United States Congress:

"... To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures ..." – Article 1, Sec. 8, Clause 5

Several years later, in 1792, Congress properly took that delegated authority and enacted specific laws to codify the money of the United States on a just weights and measures standard. This was called "An Act Establishing A Mint And Regulating The Coinage Of The United States," (January 12, 1792). This Act was later recorded in the United States Code (USC).

"The terms 'lawful money' and 'money of the U.S.' shall be construed to mean gold and silver coin of the U.S." – 12 USC 152

"The money of account of the U.S. shall be expressed in dollars." – 31 USC 371

The "dollar" was simply a unit of measure combined with the substance of gold and silver coin. The "dollar" was further defined by fixed weights and measure in order to determine its standard value. For example, Congress ordered that one dollar would equal 25.8 grains of 90% gold or 371.25 grains of pure silver.

So important was this "established" law of money, that should any of the gold and silver coins be "debased . . . for the purpose of profit or gain, or otherwise with a fraudulent intent . . .every such officer or person [employed at the mint] who shall commit any or either of the said offenses, shall be deemed guilty of felony, and shall suffer death." - "An Act Establishing A Mint And Regulating The Coinage Of The United States," History of Congress, Proceedings in the Senate, Sec. 19 (January 12, 1792), p. 74

So there you have it! Now you know what the original and fundamental money system was intended to be in America. It was a critical part of the "established" government under God's Law and the civil government of Romans 13.

With this understanding, we will be able to grasp and discern what happened to the just weights and measure standard. This will be the subject of Part 2.

Republic or Democracy?

" . . . there is no good government but what is republican . . .
the very definition of a republic is
'an empire of laws, not of men'
. . . [it is] that form of government which is best contrived
to secure an impartial and exact execution of the laws . . ."

– John Adam, 1776

"Democracy [or rule of the majority - mobocracy]
is the most vile form of government
. . . democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention,
have ever been foundincompatible with personal security
or the rights of property
. . ."

– James Madison, Federalist Papers, #10, 1787
