FREEDOM OF SPEECH

 

The RIGHTS we have are PROTECTED BY, not granted by the Constitution.

Rights will not be taken from us suddenly, there will be a gradual erosion of them. Such is the nature of powerful central governments. Many people have said one does not have an Absolute right to free speech

They justify this by an argument that goes something like the following:

"You can't yell FIRE! in a crowded theatre."

While common sense tells us it is wrong to yell fire in a theatre, if there is no fire, are we really talking here about Freedom of speech?

The answer is NO!. What we are really talking about is Reckless Endangerment.
What if a man, in a crowded theatre, without saying a word, holds up a hand grenade with his hand on the pin?

It doesn't matter if it's a REAL grenade or not, if people are hurt, he has committed reckless endangerment.

If you have a good idea, or see or hear something you think is WRONG or UNJUST, don't ever let ANYONE tell you you can't talk about it!!
