POLITICAL RIGHTS V. CITIZENSHIP STATUS

Political rights are defined as follows:

Political rights. Those which may be exercised in the formation or administration of the government.  Rights of citizens established or recognized by constitutions which give them the power to participate directly or indirectly in the establishment or administration of the government.
[Black’s Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, page 1159]

Political rights consist of the following enumerated rights:

  • Voting

  • Jury Service

  • Running for political office

The purpose of this page is to document the citizenship requirements for various political rights by state.  We will show you the laws in each state that define the citizenship requirements for those exercising political rights.  The subject of political rights is covered more thoroughly in The Great IRS Hoax, section 4.12.5 entitled "Citizenship and all political rights are INVOLUNTARILY exercised and therefore CANNOT be taxable and cannot be privileges".
