Political rights are defined as follows:

Political rights.  Those which may be exercised in the formation or administration of the government.  Rights of citizens established or recognized by constitutions which give them the power to participate directly or indirectly in the establishment or administration of the government. [Black’s Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, page 1159]

Political rights consist of the following enumerated rights:

• Voting

• Jury Service

• Running for political office
